One of the best parts of my job is being able to visit clients after they have made their big move. It’s so fun seeing what they are able to do with their home. A couple weeks ago I visited a client who I helped buy a house in Geist and I was blown away with the transformation!
Wow! Being able to visualize the possibilities of a space! This home had been on the market for a long time because it was dated, but my client loved the floorplan and location – and she could see beyond the 1980s style.
Rosemary painted all the stained trim white and put a popular “greige” paint color on the walls which changes everything – this is SW Anew Gray! The old white plush carpet was replaced with real hardwoods. Note: the hardwoods were already in the kitchen and were matched by being sanded and stained with the new planks. Updating the light fixtures and ceiling fans made a huge difference!
Repurposing the space did wonders for this home. The dining room was moved into one end of the large great room and then a coffee (or wine) nook, was created, where the table used to sit in the kitchen by the bay window. This is a wonderful spot to relax, view the beautiful backyard, or chat with the cook.
Rosemary blended all styles beautifully. She has amazing antiques that have been refinished or recovered with trendy fabrics that she combines with new pieces from West Elm and Ikea!
